I'm a visual artist and editorial photographer, based in Ireland. My work is concerned with identity, vulnerability, trust and the need for meaningful connections to self, others and the natural world.
Equally happy on location and in the studio, I enjoy connecting with all kinds of people from all sorts of backgrounds; whether it be working on a commission, an experimental film or shooting a story in a distant country. I also work as a writer and film director, and bring these narrative skills to bear when telling stories through stills, motion, the written word or a combination of all three.
“Your work sings” Sinéad Mac Aodha, Director of Literature Ireland
“This is by far the best photograph of me I've ever had. No surprise there, but it has a great sense of life to it.” Fintan O’Toole
“These photos are amazing - I see the one of me laughing and remember just how fun it was, how comfortable you made me and basically how all-round great it was to hang out with you. You make me look like the best version of myself.” Emilie Pine
“All the artists were incredibly impressed with his approach, care and insight, and particularly enjoyed the collaborative aspect of the photoshoot. We are delighted with the finished portraits and would highly recommend Conor to other artists and art institutions.” Westmeath Artist’s Group
“There were moments of acute focus and moments of spontaneous laughter. The photos that Conor captured that afternoon are some of my favourite anyone has taken of me. I look at them and I think people can see my real self.” Adrian Crowley, musician.
“He brings an unerring quality and candour to whatever passes before his lens” LeCool Dublin
